Here are 3 simple/minor adjustments that all business owners can do to their Instagram business page; that will make a major difference.
Switch from Personal Account to Business Account
First, let’s talk about the benefits of having a business page. Well, to start, if you are interested in doing any type of advertising(paying Instagram or Facebook to show your advertisements) you will need a business page. Point blank.
Next, the second and the biggest reason to make the switch is your pages insight. A page’s insight consist of the page’s activity, content, and audience. In these three categories you are able to see the number of interactions, profit visits, website clicks, reach, impressions, a summary of your audience as well as the activity of your content.

One word, Buttons.
In the May 2018, Instagram made a few updates to their algorithm and matched a business’s Facebook profile with their Instagram profile. Therefore, if you had a button on Facebook, you now have one on Instagram. Now, the cherry on the cake is that you too can manually add a button to your profile. Here is how,
- Go to your profile page
- Tap edit profile
- Tap Contact options
- Tap Add an Action Button
Note: You can only add a button if you have a business profile.
Instagram Highlights is one of the most over look tools. Highlights are photos/videos of a user’s story in which they believe are special or the “highlight” of their day so, they post it on their account page.
As a social media marketer, the advantage of having an amazing highlights on your page is to grab a viewers attention. I.E. any new traffic going to your page will likely to stick if they see the best of your work. Now, just having a series of highlights on your Instagram page will not guarantee success. So, here is how you can use highlight to have a competitive advantage.
You simply use this to showcase your products, services, events, testimonials, etc. Be creative!
Realistically, making these three adjustments will take you roughly a hour.
